No, I’m not kidding. This truly is the name of a remarkable exhibition at the Denver Art Museum. Little did we realize that when we entered the exhibit hall, it would be like time traveling back to those crazy years of 1965 - 1971. The dancing, colorful strobe lights, the fragrant incense, and the blast of the classic hits from that era reminded us that, indeed, we had experienced that time to its fullest. What fun it was to examine every one of the 300 mind-bending posters that uniquely promoted concerts by those amazing San Francisco Bay Area bands. Although my wife and I felt like dinosaurs, we had an absolute blast. We couldn’t help but chuckle at the wide-eyed museum goers, most of whom were obviously experiencing the counter culture for the first time. The exhibition has been extended to July 26th. So put on your wildest hippie garb, grab your artist & musician friends, and head to Denver for a genuine ’60’s experience.
